Our Krakow Tours

COMUNISM TOUR of Nowa Huta district
119zl per guest(approx.33EUR, 23GBP)

The Wall may be over and done with, but many of Krakow's most famous communist artifacts are alive and well. Visit Nowa Huta, the district that still bears testament to the power of the Soviets. Most notably, our guides will lead you on an in-depth tour of the place that was originally gifted to Krakow by Stalin himself. These labyrinths of tenements were done in imitation of the renaissance and meant to be a model communist city. It later came to be one of the centers of revolution and resistance within Poland, leading to the eventual overthrow of the communist government.

This guided tour is complete with transportation in a genuine Trabant or Polski Fiat 125, cars manufactured by the Eastern Bloc specialists. During this approx. 2,5 hour tour, our guides will lead you through this one-of-a-kind city and up to the gates of the steel mill that was originally the heart of this district.

The Communism Tour Includes:
  • Pick up and drop off in a genuine Trabant
  • Walking tour of the famous communist districts
  • Special attention to the architecture and politics of the time
  • In-depth information on the history of Poland's government

THE REAL KRAKOW Tour
159zl per guest(approx.44EUR,31GBP)

Beyond the din of tourists lies a city that goes unnoticed by most who visit. Krakow is an old city, even by European standards, and one of its greatest assets is that has never been razed throughout its long and tumultuous history. Join one of our expert guides and spend the day seeing all the hidden treasures of this city.

Our guides will begin by picking you up at your hotel or hostel and taking you for a tour of Nowa Huta district, the Krakow 's famous communist enclave. Originally a gift from Stalin, this working-class quarter boasts some great communist architecture that is complimented by our guides' first hand accounts of what it was like to live under the Iron Curtain.

From there, we will visit the historic burial mounds. These giant mounds(some of which date to pagan times) were built to memorialize some of Poland 's most famous leaders and provide great panoramas of the city. In addition, our guides are always happy to give a brief history lesson and point out some of the city's more unusual landmarks.

We end this tour with a trip to Krakow 's Jewish quarter. After being liquidated by the Nazis during the Second World War, this area is slowly being revitalized and is now home to the city's artist community. Lined with great pubs and cafes, you will definitely want to come back later to enjoy the true night life of Krakow .

The Real Krakow Tour Includes:
